About Us

Our Scouts BSA Troop 347 encourages all interested youth to attend our meetings on Mondays at 7:00 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church on Church Street in Prince Frederick.  Please come join us, learn what scouting has to offer and no prior experience required!

We are an outdoors oriented Scout Troop with emphasis on traditional scout skills.  Our scouts camp all 12 months of the year.  Our mission is to develop self confidence and high self esteem in our young scouts that leads to building leadership.  Every scout in our troop learns the basics of survival in the outdoors during their first year program.  They put these skills to the test during Worst Case Scenario Weekend where they build their own shelters, light fires without matches, and purify drinking water.  Our trips include camping, hiking, cycling, backpacking, canoeing-kayaking, tubing, and more.  Our annual summer camps and high adventure programs provide opportunities to learn new skills and overcome physical and personal challenges.

Our program is supported by dedicated leaders who serve as scoutmaster, assistant scoutmasters, and on our troop committee.  We welcome new leaders and the scouting program, which offers many training opportunities in the areas of leading youth and outdoor skills.
